This antitank gun was designed by famous Soviet designer V.G.Grabin. During the war it was produced in large numbers and became one of the most efficient antitank gun, which could successfully fight against “Tigers” and “Panthers”. Use of high quality materials and quite long barrel allowed the projectile to speed up till 1000 m/sec. With this speed 57 mm projectile penetrated up to 100 mm thick armour.

One of restored guns was handed over to the Republic of Tatarstan and now it is exhibited in the memorial place in the city of Elabuga
